Tourism EXPO Japan 2025 Aichi/Central Japan

Irago Ocean Resort

Irago Ocean Resort is a hot Hot springs hotel located at the tip of the Atsumi Peninsula. Perched on a hill surrounded by the blue sea, the hotel offers ocean views from every room. From rooms facing the Pacific Ocean, where the sunrise can be seen, guests can enjoy views of Katahama Jusanri, a magnificent sandy beach stretching for 13 ri (approximately 52 km), Hinode no Sekimon, a large rock hollowed out by the Pacific Ocean's rough waves, and the rapeseed fields that form the main venue for the spring Rape Blossom Festival. From rooms facing Ise Bay, where the sunset can be seen, guests can enjoy a panoramic view of Koijigahama, a beautiful white sand beach selected as one of Japan's 100 Best Beaches and 100 Best White Sand and Green Pine Beaches. The hotel boasts stunning views of Kamishima Island, known as the setting for Yukio Mishima's novel "The Sound of Waves," and Cape Irago, with its white lighthouse.
The large natural Hot springs bath is Irago Hot springs, a sodium-calcium chloride Hot springs. Its long-lasting bathing time makes it effective for those prone to cold, and its weak alkaline waters are known for their skin-beautifying properties. The views from the infinity open-air bath, located 100 meters above sea level, are truly spectacular. Enjoy the expansive ocean and sky, and romantic sunsets as you soak in Hot springs. Restaurant also offers a wide variety of restaurants, serving dishes made with carefully selected ingredients. The buffet Restaurant, Irago Bold Kitchen, offers a wide variety of dishes, including rotisserie chicken, grilled at low temperature to remove excess fat, resulting in a crispy exterior and juicy interior. At the seaside Restaurant, Tridente, you can enjoy Japanese and French cuisine, as well as a four-course menu, where you can savor seasonal flavors such as vegetables from the Atsumi Peninsula and seafood from Mikawa Bay.
There is also a summer-only outdoor pool (open from 1:00 PM on July 1, 2025 to 12:00 PM on September 30), an ocean-themed kids' park, and a pet house (pets can be kept in cages). In July 2025, the hotel will introduce its first "Dog-Friendly Guest rooms," where guests can stay with their beloved dogs, and the exciting "Panorama Premier Family Room," which will delight both adults and children.
There are plenty of tourist attractions in the surrounding area, such as strolling along the beach while listening to the sound of the waves, picking fruit grown in the rich natural environment (strawberry picking: January to April, melon picking: May to September), clamming in Atsumi-Tawara, and cruising on ferries and sightseeing boats. Please use our hotel for a trip to fully enjoy the Atsumi Peninsula.
