Tourism EXPO Japan 2025 Aichi/Central Japan

Inazawa city / Inazawa city tourist association

On April 1st, 2005 Inazawa City, the former Sobue Town, and the former Heiwa Town merged to form the present Inazawa City.
Known for one of the most peculiar festival, "Konomiya Naked Festival", Inazawa City, almost in the center of the Nobi Plain, is a historic city where the provincial government office was located and once the political and cultural center of Owari Porvince.
During the Edo period Inazawa was a bustling post town on the Mino-kaido Road which connected the Tokaido and Nakasendo Roads.
As a result, many historical sites and cultural assets remain throughout the city, which tell the story of Inazawa's former prosperity.
Taking advantage of the fertile soil deposited by the Kiso River, which boarders the west part of the city, and the mild climate, Inazawa has developed as a producer of planting trees snd seedlings. Currently, development of residential areas and industrial complex has been underway, and has been attracting as place with excellent transportation access from central Nagoya.
