Tourism EXPO JAPAN 2024

GREENTEAFARMSTAYPROMOTIONCOUNCILINKAKEGAWA

Kakegawa City and surrounding cities and towns have been producing high quality green tea since the Meiji period (1868-1912) using the semi-natural farming method called "Chagusaba Farming," which is recognized as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS). As society and lifestyles change and consumption diversifies, people were not drinking green tea anymore, and the tea industry is facing a crisis.
We would be happy if we could offer tea production in our region, which practices the SDGs, as a commercial product for corporate travel such as educational tours, corporate training, and MICE through exchange programs with tea farmers, and green tea, which is representative of Japanese food culture, as a commercial product for inbound travel.
