Tourism EXPO Japan 2026

INAGI CITY TOURISM BUREAU

Inagi City, just 30 minutes from central Tokyo, is a town blessed with bountiful nature and rich agricultural resources, most notably its specialty product, the "Inagi Pear." The city is currently promoting tourism through diverse approaches to attract visitors, built around four key tourism pillars: "Satoyama & Nostalgia," "Anime & Mecha," "Sports," and "Amusement."

The city boasts numerous parks frequently used as filming locations for movies and TV dramas, monuments showcasing anime content by mecha designer Kunio Okawara scattered throughout the area, and high-traffic attractions such as Yomiuri Land and TOKYO GIANTS TOWN. Positioning itself as a "bicycle town," the city features well-developed infrastructure, including the Tama River Cycling Course and the Minamitama One Kansen Road. The city is also focusing on creating a favorable environment for cycle tourism by installing bike-share stations.

Based on these diverse tourism resources, the Inagi City Tourism Bureau partners with the local government and businesses to refine tourism content, broadcast information, and plan and manage events. Currently we are expanding our digital map showing the city's sightseeing spots and restaurants. By hosting recurring digital stamp rallies utilizing this map, we aim to encourage regional exploration and drive local industrial promotion.
