Tourism EXPO JAPAN 2024
ISHIKAWA BREWERY Co,Ltd.
Tokyo's sake comes from here.
This sake brewery was founded in 1863 at the end of the Edo period. It is usually open to the public as a sightseeing brewery, and when you pass through the gate, you will see six buildings registered as tangible cultural properties built between the Edo and Meiji periods, which are so impressive that you will feel as if you have stepped back in time to the Edo period.
In fact, the brewing of the famous sake "TAMAJIMAN" is conducted in the building, which is registered as a tangible cultural property of Japan. In 1998, the brewery reopened a beer brewery that has a history of brewing beer from the Meiji era, brewing craft beers called "Tama no Megumi" and "TOKYO BLUES.
On the premises, there is a direct sales store, a historical archive, and two restaurants where visitors can enjoy sake and beer that are only available on the premises.
The brewery also offers tours of the brewery, making it a tourist attraction for both sake drinkers and non-sake drinkers.
The brewery has also been used as a location for many TV dramas and is famous as a sacred site for pilgrimages.
