At July 7th, 2024, we could have the 20th anniversary of World Heritage designation of "Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range". For these 20 years, a great amount of visitor from inside and outside Japan came to this town Hongu for walking Kumano Kodo ancient pilgrimage routes, visiting shrines at the end of the walk, and bathing at three onsen sites after or before the walk.
Besides visiting popular three grand shrines of Kumano (Hongu, Hayatama, Nachi), we recommend you making plans including walking Kumano Kodo led by "kataribe" walking guide. All the kataribe have so much knowledge and skills to please the visitors. We are sure your customers must have deeper impression of Kumano by walking with kataribe. We developed a new circuit route too. Novelties are offered to the guests walking certain routes.
