Shingu City

Located on Japan's Kii Peninsula, Shingu City is home to Kumano Hayatama Taisha Grand Shrine, one of the three Kumano Sanzan shrines, as well as parts of the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route.This yesr, the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range". Marks the 20th anniversary of their registration.Shingu City is a place where you can experience the river, the sea, and the mountains of the Kumano Kodo. Further, important events in the coming years, from the Expo 2025 in Osaka, to the 1900th anniversary of Kumano Hayatama Taisha Grand Shrine in 2028, will see many exciting events be held in Shingu City.Additionally, tour bus subsidies for tours in Shingu City are available, as well as a support system for preliminary inspections of tour locations to aid in product formulation.
