Tourism EXPO Japan 2025 Aichi/Central Japan

Kyoto Miyama Tourism Association

Located about a 90-minute drive from Kyoto City, Miyama is a peaceful rural area known for its rich natural surroundings and traditional thatched-roof houses. One of its highlights is the "Miyama's Thatched Village(Kayabuki no Sato)", where 39 beautifully preserved thatched houses create a timeless scene straight out of old Japan. Nearby, the "Ashiu Forest," is a large forest rich in diverse plant and animal life, offering nature lovers a beautiful place to explore.

In 2021, Miyama was selected as a "Best Tourism Village" by UN Tourism, recognizing its commitment to cultural preservation and sustainable regional development through tourism.

Our organization coordinates a wide range of programs and services, including immersive countryside stays that offer direct interaction with local residents, guided walking tours of the thatched village, educational homestays, and travel arrangements such as accommodations, experiences, and group meals. We also welcome inspection tours and media inquiries.

At our booth, we will introduce not only our own offerings but also a variety of tourism products and experiences available throughout Miyama. We invite you to explore the unique potential of Miyama for your travel business.
