Aso-Kuju National Park/Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park

Aso-Kuju National Park
~Immerse yourself in the spectacular scenery of volcanoes and grasslands, and the contrast between volcanoes and grasslands~
Aso-Kuju National Park is characterized by volcanic groups such as Mount Aso, which towers over the great caldera, the Kuju mountain range to the north, and the majestic grasslands that spread out all around. The Aso caldera is home to Japan's largest grassland, the 'Sennen Sogen,' where people have coexisted and thrived with nature for over a thousand years. Around the Kuju mountain range, there are abundant academic attractions such as the Tadehara Wetlands and Bogatsuru Wetlands. One of its major attractions is the contrast between volcanoes and grasslands.

Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park
~Hot springs created by the giant calderas and the bountiful sea, The Kirishima Mountain Range, Kinkowan Bay, and Mt. Sakurajima~
Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park had its beginnings in 1934 as Kirishima National Park, which was one of Japan's first national parks. This park is largely divided into the northern area and the southern area, Kinkowan Bay respectively.
