Ocha no Kyoto is an organization to widely introduce and promote the Yamashiro region to people all over the world through various projects which cooperate with the local business community and the 12 municipalities in the southern part of Kyoto Prefecture. The Yamashiro region, located in the southern part of Kyoto, is an area that produces tea and its history has been cultivated over 800 years through a specific cafe culture that is focused on both Uji tea and the cultural landscape. It is accessible in just 40 mins travel by train or car and is adjacent to the three major tourist attraction areas: Osaka, Kyoto and Nara.
