Itoigawa City has attracted growing attention following the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen and increasing inbound tourism demand.
The Chamber offers a range of packaged tourism products built around Itoigawa's unique identity as Japan's "Town of Stones." These include the 2-Day / 1-Night Stone Discovery (Stonecology) Experience Tour, which combines guided beach stone collecting, specialized stone-processing services, and hot spring accommodation.
Designed for travel trade professionals, these one-of-a-kind experiences are packaged as premium experiential tourism products that deliver high-value, purpose-driven travel experiences.

▪Ono Chamber of Commerce and Industry:
Ono Biju, developed in Ono City, Fukui Prefecture, is a high-value stay-based tourism program that welcomes visitors as guests while preserving the rhythms of everyday local life.
Through experiences such as a traditional shrine welcoming ceremony, interactions with local residents, engagement with traditional culture, and stays in historic Japanese homes, visitors build meaningful connections with the community and the place itself.
More than a sightseeing experience, Ono Biju represents an innovative tourism model that fosters a deeper relationship between travelers and the destination. This pioneering initiative was recognized with the Kirari Kagayaki Tourism Promotion Grand Prize, awarded by the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, for its outstanding contribution to regional tourism development.
