Tourism EXPO Japan 2026
GINDENDO
Gindendo is a traditional silversmith studio that carries on the metalworking techniques of the Hirata School, a lineage of silversmithing handed down for more than 400 years since the Edo period.
At our silversmithing experience studio in Asakusa, Tokyo, Edo 12th-generation silversmith Yoshitsugu Kamikawa and Edo 13th-generation silversmith Soki Kamikawa create and sell traditional craftworks and pure silver jewelry, each piece carefully hand-forged based on time-honored techniques.
We also offer Japanese cultural craft experience programs for guests from Japan and abroad, allowing them to encounter the beauty of traditional Japanese craftsmanship and the authenticity of working with genuine silver. Through these experiences, we share the spirit of Japanese artisanship and the unique charm of our local community.
