The focus of Kagawa Prefecture's 2026 tourism is Anabuki Arena Kagawa and its surroundings, which opened last year.

"Anabuki Arena Kagawa" was recently awarded the Grand Prize at the UNESCO Versailles Awards and is an architecturally stunning arena recognized as one of the most beautiful in the world.
The following events will be hosted in the area around the arena this October and December!

■KAGAWA OKTOBERFEST 2026
Originating in Germany, the popular autumn event Oktoberfest is being held in Kagawa for the first time!
Enjoy the authentic atmosphere of a German beer festival while taking in the scenic beauty of the Seto Inland Sea's many islands.

○Event Date and Time: October 2nd-15th, 2026
Weekdays 4pm-9pm, Weekends 11am-9pm (Free Entry)
○Location: Sunport Takamatsu Seafront Promenade (Anabuki Arena North Side)
○Recommended points:
A live performance by a German Orchestra/Band
Various booths selling real German Beer and Kagawa grown foods!
At night, character videos and other content will be projected onto the roof of "Anabuki Arena Kagawa" to create a light show.

■Oktoberfest Cruise
Based at Takamatsu Port, this cruise allows you to enjoy the scenic beauty of the Seto Inland Sea's many islands, the sunset, and Takamatsu's night view while taking in views of the Oktoberfest venue and "Anabuki Arena Kagawa." It's a sightseeing cruise that can be enjoyed in conjunction with the KAGAWA OKTOBERFEST 2026 event.

1) Day Cruise 15:30～16:30 (60 mins) / ￥2,000
2) Sunset Cruise 17:00～18:00 (60 mins) / ￥2,000

※Junior highschoolers and older pay the prices above. Primary schoolers pay half of the prices above. Preschoolers participate free of charge.

○Passengers: 250 per trip

■KAGAWA Christmas Market 2026
A Christmas market is being held to brighten up winter in Takamatsu. Last year, 450,000 people visited!
○Event date and time: December 3rd(Thursday) to 25th(Friday),2026
11am～9pm (Free Entry)
○Event Location: Sunport Takamatsu General Purpose Courtyard and Pedestrian Road(Anabuki Arena South Side)

･Christmas foods from the line of European style huttes!
･Daily greetings by Santa Claus!
･A waterless ice skating rink! Up to 50 people at a time.
･Musical performance centered on Christmas on the stage!
･There will be 8 days of fireworks shows, including the 24th and 25th!

■Christmas Cruise
A one-day-only special cruise operating exclusively on Christmas. Amid the festive Christmas atmosphere, you can enjoy the scenic beauty of the Seto Inland Sea's many islands, the sunset, and the night view of Takamatsu.

○A Nationally recognized Special Place of Scenic Beauty, "Ritsurin Garden"
→ A "Michelin Green Guide Japan"3 star spot. You can enjoy boat rides and matcha in the garden.

○Shodoshima
→There are plenty of fun, Instagram worthy spots, including Hishio no Sato(Soy Sauce Village) and an olive picking experience.

○Chichibugahama Beach
→A spot known as Japan's Uyuni Salt Flats. A great location for commemorative photos.

○Yashima
→A roof shaped volcanic plateau known for being the location of the Genpei war. The observation deck at "Yashimaru", a roughly 200 meter long corridor style facility with unique undulating contours and curves, is a popular spot for viewing the Seto Inland Sea, sunsets, and nightscapes.

○Touring Sanuki Udon Restaurants
→"Sanuki udon" needs no introduction. Be sure to try a few different kinds and find your favorite.

○Kagawa Prefectural Arena (ANABUKI ARENA KAGAWA)
→Kagawa Prefecture is known as the Architecture Kingdom. The newly opened Kagawa Prefectural Arena (ANABUKI ARENA KAGAWA) is expected to become a new landmark for the area.
