"Sign Language Concierge" Service: Eliminating Travel-Related Challenges for People Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
This service uses CG characters to provide guidance to people who are deaf or hard of hearing via sign language videos.
This web-based service utilizes a tablet's SIM connection to play sign language videos in a question-and-answer format for approximately 10 predefined questions.
The system is scalable and can flexibly accommodate requests to increase or decrease the number of questions. Additionally, for inquiries beyond the preset questions, it features the ability to connect to Plus Voice Co., Ltd.'s "Remote Sign Language Interpretation Service."
Furthermore, by switching to International Sign Language or English text, the service is also available to international visitors.
This year, the Sign Language Concierge is being installed at various facilities in Tokyo as part of a pilot program,
but starting next fiscal year, we plan to expand the service beyond Tokyo to facilities in a wide range of areas.
Whether installed at tourist attractions or at tour destinations proposed by tourism operators,
please consider this service, which provides comprehensive information accessibility not only for people who are deaf or hard of hearing but also for hearing individuals.
