Tourism EXPO Japan 2026

TOHOKU TOURISM PROMOTION ORGANIZATION / EAST JAPAN RAILWAY COMPANY

Tohoku is rich in nature, wonderful tourist attractions, and culture, including traditions and cuisine. The power of nature creates mysterious scenes that cannot be achieved by human hands.
Tohoku has the most pronounced seasonal changes in Japan, and every season is truly spectacular. Spring brings beautiful, vibrant cherry blossoms that can be enjoyed for a long period of time, summer is filled with passionate festivals surrounded by lush greenery, autumn paints the mountains in fiery reds and yellows, and winter covers the mountains in tree ice like snow monsters. In this way, Tohoku offers beautiful scenery throughout the four seasons, and each season offers unique activities that can only be experienced in Tohoku.
Furthermore, Tohoku also offers heartwarming scenes that arise from the daily lives of its people. At times, you may feel a sense of nostalgia, and at other times, you may be enveloped in the great surprise and emotion that can only be experienced in that place.
Our organization prioritizes promoting tourism to Tohoku as its top priority and is implementing steady efforts toward this goal. This year, we are utilizing the Tohoku Tourism DMP to analyze inbound tourism trends and apply the insights to marketing efforts. Additionally, we are strengthening promotional initiatives targeting Europe, America, and Australia, with a focus on adventure travel.
