Tourism EXPO Japan 2025 Aichi/Central Japan

Taiki Town Tourism Association

Located in the coveted Ise-Shima region, which has drawn travelers countless times since ancient times, with poems like "Seven times to Ise, Three times to Kumano," Taiki Town is known as the "Beautiful Country" in the Nihon Shoki (Chronicles of Japan). Embracing the sea and mountains, this region boasts a warm climate and abundant bounty, made up of farming, mountain, and fishing villages and coastal areas.
Nishiki Fishing Port, facing the Kumano Nada Sea, offers fresh seafood, while the clear Miya rivers and Ouchiyama rivers, which irrigate the town, offer the gifts from the rivers. Ancient roads like Tsuzurato Pass and Nisaka Pass on the Kumano Kodo Iseji Route, a World Heritage Site, convey the breath of history and nature to the present day.
This irreplaceable nature, inherited history, and living culture of the region are the starting point for our community development.
Through these diverse experiences and warm human relationships, we aim to be a sustainable tourist destination where people and nature live in harmony, a place where people will want to return again and again.
And in Taiki Town, where the Kumano Pilgrimage Route, connecting the two great sacred sites of Ise Shrine and the Kumano Sanzan, runs through the town, we would like to introduce you to "Beautiful Country, Beautiful Journey - A Food Pilgrimage along the Kumano Kodo Iseji
Route."
