Miyahama Onsen Garden Inn Sekitei

Sekitei An Inn Nestled in a Beautiful Garden Overlooking the Seto Inland Sea and Miyajima
Here, guests can enjoy breathtaking seasonal scenery and the refined atmosphere of a traditional Japanese setting that soothes the spirit.
Designed for a two-night stay, the property offers hidden retreats and salons scattered throughout the garden, inviting guests to relax at a leisurely pace.

On the second evening, dinner is prepared with ingredients and cooking methods completely different from the first day. This special occasion can be further enriched with wine and sake carefully selected by our sommelier, and, as an option, accompanied by a live performance of the shinobue flute?creating a memorable and luxurious evening worthy of a celebration.

Sekitei has been honored with high recognition both in Japan and abroad. In the Japanese Garden Ranking, it was chosen by international experts as the 4th best among approximately 1,000 inns and former villas. In addition, it was awarded Two Michelin Keys in the inaugural 2024 Michelin Key Hotel selection, making it one of the first properties in Japan to receive this distinction.

Although such recognition lasts only for a year, we are truly grateful and pleasantly surprised by this honor. Reflecting on the evaluation, I believe the following qualities contributed to our selection, and we will continue to carefully preserve them in the years ahead:

A striking landscape in which the garden, buildings, surrounding woodland, and rocky hillsides blend in perfect harmony.

Hidden libraries and salons placed throughout the garden, along with spaces to enjoy the koi in the central pond, offering a sense of serenity.

Unique, intimate spaces created in each guest room through thoughtful renovations over the years.

Cuisine that combines intricate beauty and refined flavors, paired not only with wine and sake but also with our original non-alcoholic pairings. Developed jointly by our head chef and sommelier, these beverages bring out the charm of Sekitei's Japanese cuisine two- or threefold, offering a distinctive dining experience found nowhere else.
Respectfully, The Innkeeper
