◆Hama-rikyu Gardens
Hama-rikyu Gardens is a famous historic Japanese garden built in the Edo period (1603-1867) that belonged to the Tokugawa Shogunate. The beauty of the garden changes with the seasons, and the contrast between traditional Japanese beauty and the skyscrapers of the city makes this garden a unique space only to be found in Tokyo. There are two teahouses where you and your guests can relax and enjoy the stunning views of the extensive garden. Easy access to international conference venues and hotels within Tokyo is an added bonus.
◆Kiyosumi Gardens
Comprising a large pond and manmade hills with valuable rocks collected from all across Japan, Kiyosumi Gardens is a superb example of a strolling garden from the Meiji period (1868-1912). Enjoy a splendid meal in the Taisho Kinenkan, which affords magnificent views over the gardens. Before dinner, welcome drinks are served in the garden in front of the Taisho Kinenkan, where you can inspect some of the gardens' most exquisite garden rocks. Or enjoy the feeling of floating on water at the Ryotei lodge, which is built partially overhanging the pond.
