Senjuji Head Temple of the Takada school
The head temple of the Takada branch of Jodo Shinshu, which counts over 600 affiliated temples.
Within the temple grounds, you will find the grand Mieido Hall, which enshrines a wooden statue of Saint Shinran at its center along with portraits of successive leaders.
There are also the Nyorai Hall, the main gate, the Chinese style gate, and a treasure hall that houses numerous national treasures and important cultural properties, including handwritten works by Saint Shinran.
The Senshu ji Temple Garden, a designated historic site, also features the tea house Anraku an.
