It takes 3 hours and 30 minutes from Osaka by car or train, 4 hours from Nagoya by car or train, and 2 hours and 30 minutes from Tokyo by plane (1 hour from Haneda to Nanki-Shirahama and 1 hour by car from the airport).
The Kozagawa River is notable for being a "clear stream you can play in. The current is gentle and the river is relatively shallow, making it an environment that even children can enjoy, and simply catching shrimp, observing fish, or floating around on a floatation ring will give you a sense of coolness and satisfaction that you would not normally experience.
Ayu (sweetfish), the queen of clear streams, is caught in such clear streams and has a refreshing aroma that makes it impossible to eat any other kind of ayu. The Kozagawa River offers a variety of delicacies that should not be missed, including gibier, which is considered a high-class food in urban areas, and yuzu, a specialty of the river.
Many people visit the area for sightseeing, canoeing, BBQ, camping, etc., while enjoying the many natural monuments and waterfalls on bicycles, and after playing to the fullest, you can complete the perfect nature experience by taking a hot spring bath to wash away your fatigue and return home.
