The Annevoie Gardens
- A Peaceful Escape of Water, Nature and Wine near Dinant
Just 20 minutes from Dinant, the Gardens of Annevoie are one of Belgium's most beautiful hidden treasures. They can easily be combined with a visit to the Citadel of Dinant, a cruise on the Meuse River, or nearby attractions such as Freÿr Castle and Vêves Castle, making them a perfect destination for a full day of history, nature, and gastronomy.
Created in 1758, the Gardens of Annevoie are the only water gardens in Belgium. Their elegant fountains, waterfalls, and ornamental ponds are powered entirely by the natural force of gravity, without the use of a single pump. Blending French, Italian, and English garden styles, the estate offers visitors a peaceful setting where they can stroll, relax, and enjoy the beauty of nature.
Since 2020, the estate has also been home to an 11.5-hectare vineyard. Organically grown grape varieties are used to produce still white wines and traditional-method sparkling wines, all vinified on the estate. Visitors can discover the unique terroir of the Haute-Meuse region while enjoying locally produced wines in an exceptional setting.
Combining historic gardens, vineyards, nature, and the Belgian art of living, the Gardens of Annevoie offer a unique and unforgettable experience in the heart of Wallonia.
