In central Mie, highlights include Takada Honzan Senjuji Temple, home to the Mieido and Nyoraido halls, the first buildings in Mie Prefecture to be designated National Treasures. The area also features the Iga-ryu Ninja Museum and Iga Ueno Castle in Iga, the home of Iga-ryu ninja culture.
