For over 90 years—since 1931—the Nara City Tourism Association has been conducting various activities to revitalize tourism and foster regional development in Nara. We actively showcase the city's many charms and strive to create a destination that captivates visitors, ensuring they have a wonderful time.
Our main activities are as follows:
(Six initiatives to enhance the tourism experience)
･Publication of tourism magazines, maps, and various brochures
･Promotion of tourism and cooperation with preservation societies to safeguard traditional events
･Development of tourism souvenirs featuring our mascot character, "Shikamaro-kun"
･Organization of events in collaboration with neighboring municipalities and various organizations
･Operation of tourist information centers (Nara City General Tourist Information Center, Kintetsu Nara Station Tourist Information Center, and Nara City Tourism Center)
･Provision of luggage storage services at tourist information centers to improve convenience for visitors.
