NARA CITY TOURISM ASSOCIATION

The Nara City Tourism Association (a Public Interest Incorporated Association) was originally established in August 1931 as a voluntary organization. It subsequently incorporated on November 11, 1985, with the aim of strengthening the organization and promoting tourism activities in a sound and proactive manner. Its membership comprises tourism-related businesses and organizations; working in collaboration with relevant institutions and government bodies, the Association conducts various initiatives to revitalize tourism in Nara and foster the development of the industry.
The consumer spending generated by tourists visiting Nara creates significant ripple effects across a wide range of local sectors—including the tourism industry itself—thereby contributing directly and indirectly to the revitalization and growth of Nara's commerce and industry. Moving forward, the Association remains committed to actively showcasing the many charms of Nara—a city rich in tourism resources—and to developing the destination into a place that truly captivates the hearts of visitors.
