The Kyrgyz Republic is located in the northeastern part of Central Asia

The country's territory is one of the most ancient centers of human civilization. The Kyrgyz people
An ethnic group known in Central Asia as early as the first millennium BC, the Kush people have preserved their identity and culture through the centuries to the present day. Certain intangible cultural heritage sites, such as the Manas trilogy, the traditional nomadic dwelling called the Yurt, and the felt carpets called Shyrdak and Ala Kiyiz, are included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Kyrgyzstan possesses a wide range of tourism resources that could make the country an international tourism destination. According to the World Tourism Organization, foreign tourists interested in Silk Road tours account for 27% of all tourists.

Famous mountain peaks include Pobeda Peak (7,439 m), Lenin Peak (7,134 m), and Khan-Tengri Peak (6,995 m). One of the longest glaciers, Enylchek, is a world-class landmark.

There are 1923 beautiful lakes in the Kyrgyz Republic,
The main one is Lake Issyk-Kul, one of the largest and deepest high-mountain lakes in the world; there are more than 40 thousand rivers, the main source of water for which is the meltwater of mountain glaciers. The Kyrgyz Republic is among the 200 priority ecological regions of the planet. The republic has a number of specially protected natural areas, occupying 6% of the country's area, including 1 biosphere reserve, 10 state reserves, 9 natural national parks, 68 sanctuaries. The Kyrgyz Republic is located along the Great Silk Road, along which there are 583 historical and cultural monuments and archaeological sites, some of which (Nevaket, Suyab, Balasagyn, Sulaiman-Too) are of global significance and are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
