We will host a small reception at the Portugal booth at Tourism Expo Japan, with the presence of the Ambassador of Portugal. All Portuguese suppliers exhibiting at the event will be in attendance, and travel industry professionals and other industry representatives will be invited to join us.
Portugal is famous for its beautifully designed sardine tins, and traditional sardine can packaging has long been done by hand.
In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to experience the traditional art of wrapping Portuguese sardine tins by hand. After completing your own sardine tin, you can take it home as a souvenir.

We will hear from Chef Yoshida about his first experience of Portugal. Last year, during the visit of the Prime Minister of Portugal to Japan, Chef Yoshida collaborated with a Portuguese chef at Restaurant Origin in Osaka. He later participated in Portugal’s culinary event, Chefs on Fire, where he further explored Portuguese cuisine and food culture.
