Tourism EXPO Japan 2025 Aichi/Central Japan

Wakayama City
The Tourism Division of Wakayama City actively supports the development of travel products by proposing local attractions and sightseeing routes, as well as connecting travel agencies with tourism-related businesses in the city. Through these efforts, we aim to attract more visitors to Wakayama.
Last year, many travel agencies featured unique experiences such as the exclusive nighttime access to the main keep of Wakayama Castle during cherry blossom season and tours to the uninhabited island of Tomogashima. This year, we are also offering a variety of uniquely Wakayama experiences, including special access to shrines and temples, as well as content that highlights the people and culture of the region.
We are also actively promoting MICE tourism—from sports training camps to large-scale conferences—and offer subsidies for convention hosting.
Wakayama continues to attract a diverse range of international visitors, both groups and individuals, to popular destinations such as Wakayama Castle, Tomogashima, and Wakayama Marina City.
We sincerely hope you will consider incorporating Wakayama's rich and appealing tourism resources into your tour development and planning. Please feel free to contact us—we look forward to hearing from you.
