【Ise-Shima National Park】
A Story of Harmony Between the sea, and Ise Jingu's Ancient Tradition.
Ise-Shima National Park lies on the Shima Peninsula, located in the center of Mie Prefecture. The park is broadly divided into two areas: the inland area, which is home to Ise Jingu and its surrounding forests, and the coast area, which is characterized by an archipelagic landscape with intricate ria coasts. The interaction between people and nature is very profound in the region, and the essence. The region has a long history of providing seafood to the Imperial court and Ise Jingu, and the Man'yoshu (
Japan's oldest poetry compilation) refers to the region as a Miketsukuni-land of divine offerings.
Additionally, in recent years, the park has been working to incorporate universal design into its facilities, with the aim of creating a park that everyone can enjoy.
【Yoshino-Kumano National Park】
Sea, mountains and rivers! Yoshino-Kumano National Park, where you can feel close to nature with its history!
Yoshino-Kumano National Park straddles three prefectures, Mie, Nara, and Wakayama. It consists of the Kumano River, which flows into the Kumano Sea while eroding, the middle and lower reaches of the Kitayama River, the coastline from the Kumano Sea to the Karekinada Sea, where you can see a variety of coastal topography, and Mt. Nachi, which has been protected by the ancient history of Kumano worship.
In addition to the vast nature of mountains, rivers, and the sea, which are made up of the ``Yugen mountains'', ``deep valleys'', and the ``Nankai where the Kuroshio flows'', the World Heritage Site ``Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range'', the sacred grounds of Shugendo and the ``Ari no Kumano Pilgrimage''. It is a spiritual place where you can experience a "reborn" land that fuses the history and culture of Kumano Sanzan (Hongu Taisha, Hayatama Taisha, Nachi Taisha).
