Tourism EXPO Japan 2025 Aichi/Central Japan

AWAJI LAB

Authentic Japan designs and offers small-group, experience-based journeys that connect travelers with the deeply rooted culture and human warmth found throughout Japan.
Our story began on Awaji Island, a place tied to Japan's ancient creation mythology. Surrounded by mountains and sea, this nature-rich island is home to artisans, producers, and entrepreneurs who live in harmony with the land and work to share its unique value with the world. In recent years, many have been drawn to Awaji, choosing to relocate and pursue new ventures inspired by the island's abundance and spirit of renewal.
The journeys we craft are guided by local navigators who have an intimate understanding of their communities. Together with our guests, we visit craftspeople and residents, engage in authentic dialogue, and immerse ourselves in the food, culture, and way of life shaped by the region.
Because our groups are small, we are able to foster rich, meaningful exchanges that would be difficult to achieve in conventional travel settings.
Equally important to us is the value of "unstructured" time — quiet, spacious moments that naturally arise during the journey.
Whether it's pausing to absorb the atmosphere or listening deeply to conversations with locals, these moments often become opportunities for travelers, community members, and even our navigators to reflect on their own lives.
Rather than consuming famous sights, we offer a different kind of journey — one that gently nestles into the rhythm of local life.
This, we believe, is the essence of true luxury.
We hope to collaborate with partners who share our desire to communicate the true value of their regions — and to co-create travel experiences that are sustainable, meaningful, and deeply memorable.
