Tourism EXPO Japan 2025 Aichi/Central Japan

Discover "Yanbaru"

Northern Okinawa Island has long been known as "Yanbaru."
This region is home to stunning beaches and blue seas formed by coral reefs. Within the Yanbaru National Park, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, lies one of Japan's largest subtropical evergreen forests, where rare flora and fauna such as the Okinawa rail (Yanbaru Kuina) thrive.
Across the remote islands and local villages, Okinawa's unique history and culture continue to be passed down, making Yanbaru one of the regions that most vividly preserves the original landscape of Okinawa.

In addition, Yanbaru offers many popular tourist destinations such as the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, Kouri Island, the World Cultural Heritage site Nakijin Castle Ruins, and the newly opened JUNGLIA Okinawa in July 2025. With numerous resort hotels, visitors can fully enjoy the charm of Yanbaru at their own pace.

At the Yanbaru booth, tourism associations from Motobu Town, Kunigami Village, Nakijin Village, Ginoza Village, Onna Village, Ie Village, Izena Village, and others are participating.
We invite you to stop by and discover the rich tourism information from the 12 municipalities of northern Okinawa Island.
