Batik Air Malaysia

Batik Air is a rapidly expanding Malaysian-based airline with its main hubs at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, KLIA Main Terminal and Subang Skypark, the convenient KL downtown city airport in Selangor, Malaysia. The airline took to the skies in March 2013 with domestic flights in Malaysia and has since grown to operate routes to all major airports across the continents of Asia, Australia and the Middle East. The airline has also obtained the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA). Batik Air holds full membership in the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as well.

About B737-8: The Batik Air B737-8 is configured in a two-class layout, with 12 new Business Class seats laid out in a 2-2 configuration. The new Business Class seat has been specially designed for regional and medium-haul routes, offering enhanced levels of comfort, privacy and functionality. The Economy class, with 150 Economy Class seats, is in a 3-3 layout configuration. The new generation seats are now available on the Batik Air B737-8 aircraft. They are ergonomically designed to provide customers with improved headrests for comfort, more personal space and increased legroom.

The fleet of Batik Air consists of 8 ATR72-600s, 26 B737-8/800 NG aircraft, and 2 A330-300 aircraft. Batik Air effectively manages 800 weekly flights across an expanding network of 52 routes within the region. Notably, the B737-8 aircraft, configured in a single class, accommodates either 180 or 189 seats.

Batik Air is a member of the Lion Air Group of Indonesia comprising Batik Air Indonesia, Super Air Jet, Lion Air, Wings Air, Biz Jet and Thai Lion Air.
