This association was established in 2020 with the aim of working together with Kiryu City and Midori City, Gunma Prefecture, to promote tourism promotion measures around both cities and contribute to the revitalization of the local economy. Both cities are rich in nature, but Kiryu City is a silk production area with a history of 1,300 years, and Midori City is famous for Japan's representative ruins and the Tomihiro Art Museum, which exhibits the works of Tomihiro Hoshino, a poet and painter. By combining the characteristics of both cities, we treat the two adjoining cities as one region and are working to promote tourism in the increasingly attractive "Kiryu Green Region." Please come and visit the Kiryu-Midori region, which is a representative tourist resource for both cities and is home to various tourist attractions, including the Watarase Keikoku Railway, which runs along the majestic valley.
