Tourism EXPO JAPAN 2024

Snow Heaven Japan / Mount 6

Japanese snow resorts are gaining global attention. The exceptional quality of Japan's "powder snow" is highly esteemed, particularly in Europe, the United States, and Australia. Additionally, Japan boasts numerous regions with heavy snowfall unmatched anywhere else in the world, attracting interest from "non-snow countries" in Asia and beyond. Snow, mountains, hot springs, sake, and food are just some of the many attractions that Japan's snow resorts offer. However, Japanese snow resorts are not solely for skiing and snowboarding.

As we move into the post-pandemic era, we aim to reintroduce the charm of these snow resorts not only to international tourists but also to Japanese people who may not have visited the snowy mountains recently. We want to rekindle their interest and excitement. Our goal is to promote Japanese snow resorts to both foreign visitors and locals who have been away from the snowy landscapes for some time.

The world is already familiar with the high-quality powder snow in places like Niseko, Hakuba, and Nozawa, thanks to their international exposure. Japan's strengths lie in its accessibility from urban areas, the quality and safety of its slopes, and its stunning natural scenery. With the recent trend shifting from tangible products to experiential services, snow activities, nightlife, cultural experiences, and culinary delights have become major attractions at Japanese snow resorts, alongside traditional skiing and snowboarding.
