Daisetsu Kamuimintara DMO is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing a tourism region centered around Daisetsuzan National Park, located in the heart of Hokkaido, comprising one city and eight towns.
Within our DMO, we handle "travel business" and "tourism promotion business". In our "travel business", we execute both bespoke and arranged trips targeting travel agencies and FIT (Free Independent Travelers). For travel within our jurisdictional area, please consult with us first. We provide recommendations for spots and experiential activities, and can propose accommodations and transportation options as well.
In our "tourism promotion business", we operate under the motto of "creating profitable regions", addressing challenges faced by customers and the community. We also place significant focus on holistic promotion of the area.
At the heart of this region lies Daisetsuzan National Park, referred to as "Kamuimintara" (the playground of the gods) by the Ainu people. We aim to guide this area's recognition as a new destination for extended stays, attracting visitors from both domestic and international locales who seek the diverse natural beauty, culinary experiences, historical and cultural insights, and sports environments that Daisetsuzan offers throughout the seasons. We collaborate closely with private enterprises and local government to pursue initiatives aimed at branding, promoting tourism-related industries, expanding visitor demographics, and fostering a prosperous local community.
