Tourism EXPO JAPAN 2024
Tosa City Tourism Association
Tosa City, which takes about forty minutes by car from the gateway of Kochi Prefecture "Kochi Ryoma Airport", has been pursuing and developing the quality of its local food. The city developed the way of simmering "Katsuobushi (dried bonito)" which is one of the most traditional foods in Japan. It has two local food specialties. One is seared moray eel, which people may be surprised at its unique appearance. The other one is Tosabuntan (pomelo), is the most famous citrus fruit in Kochi Prefecture. They both come from Tosa City.
In the Usa area, the southern part of the city faces to Tosa Bay, where you can enjoy ocean activities such as whale watching and stand up paddleboard (SUP). During your activity, you may have the chance to see Bryde's whales which are fifteen meters in length, and see a pad of dolphins. It is a place where the beautiful blue waters of the Niyodogawa River and Pacific Ocean meet. Please come enjoy the nature, cuisine, and history that Tosa City has to offer.
