Fukui City has many cultural facilities of historical value, such as the scenic Yokokan Garden, which can be reached on foot from the station, and the ruins of the Ichijodani Asakura clan, which have been designated a national triple site. On the Echizen Coast, there are also beaches and year-round camping facilities. Echizen crab, grated buckwheat noodles, locally brewed sake, and other delicacies from the sea and mountains are also an attraction of Fukui City.
