Tokoname City, located in Aichi Prefecture, is just a short 30-minute train ride from Nagoya.
Since the opening of Chubu Centrair International Airport in 2005 and AICHI SKY EXPO in 2019, the city has been attracting visitors from all over the world!

Tokoname is well-famous as the production centre of Tokoname-yaki ( Tokoame ware ) with a span of one thousand years. It is also said to have the best Kyusu ( Japanese teapot ) making skills in Japan.
And there's more! Facing the Ise Bay, Tokoname is also rich in marine and fisheries resources. Of all the amazing things Tokoname has to offer, "Nori (a dried edible seaweed)" is a true standout. Its dark colour, distinct lustre, and strong flavor make it a highly sought-after delicacy across the country.

We will levy a tax on accommodation from January 2025, and implement policy measures to encourage domestic and international visitors to further promote exchange activities and tourism programmes.
