Ikata Town is located on the Cape Sada Peninsula(Sadamisaki Peninsula) at the westernmost tip of Shikoku. It is well-known as the longest and slenderest peninsula in Japan.
The Uwa Sea side(south, pacific ocean) is lined with gently sloping white sands,
while the Seto Inland Sea side(north)is a rias coastline, where people live in a beautiful natural setting.
Ikata town is famous for its variety of citrus fruits and abundant marine products, too.
It is only a 70-minute ferry ride to Oita Pref. Kyushu, making it possible to arrange various types of trips.
National Route 197, which runs through the town, is not only an exhilarating drive, but also a great place for biking and cycling !!!!!
