JMTO was established with the goal of promoting "Moto Tourism," a style of motorcycle travel that goes beyond simply enjoying touring. Moto Tourism adds elements such as taking time to appreciate scenic landscapes, experiencing local traditions and culture, and enjoying unique activities available only in each destination—ultimately embracing the entire journey by motorcycle.
To cultivate and advance a Moto Tourism culture that blends Japan's world‑class tourism resources with the joy of motorcycling, JMTO collaborates with national and local governments as well as the travel industry. Serving as a hub between the motorcycle and tourism sectors, we work to build an environment that enables the dissemination of Japan's fascination and diverse travel information both domestically and internationally. At the same time, we are committed to ensuring safe and secure travel experiences and to expanding the community of Moto Tourism enthusiasts.
