At this exhibition, we are introducing Digital Kao-Kanban, a web-based application that brings Japan's familiar face-in-hole photo boards into the digital world, making them more flexible and interactive through smartphones.

Simply scan a QR code on-site—no app installation required. Visitors can take photos as local characters or historical figures, enjoy AR effects and mini-games, and explore multiple locations through a digital stamp rally. Each experience can be customized to create something unique to the destination and encourage visitors to take photos, explore, and discover more.

The platform also supports multiple languages and usage-data collection, helping destinations turn a fun photo experience into a tool for visitor circulation, information sharing, and evaluating tourism initiatives.

At our booth, visitors can try a four-stop demo featuring an AR samurai helmet, a historical figure face-in-hole experience, an omikuji fortune combined with a Shinto priest photo experience, and an AR experience that makes it look as though an original face-in-hole photo board is actually installed at the location.
