Tourism EXPO Japan 2026

Miyazaki in Kyusyu

Here in Miyazaki Prefecture, we strive to promote tourism by focusing on the "Five S's" as areas of appeal: Shoku (food), Sports, Shizen (nature), Shinrin (forests) and Shinwa (mythology).
There's the Shoku appeal of Miyazaki Wagyu Beef, chargrilled Jidori chicken, chicken nanban, Miyazaki gyoza, mangoes, and shochu. There's the Sports appeal of "Sportsland", a destination for pro baseball, J-League and Rugby League One camps alongside other training camps for national baseball and rugby teams, not to mention golf and marine sports. There's the Shizen appeal of abundant natural beauty, from the glittering seas around Aoshima and Cape Toi, to the dramatic land formations of Takachiho Gorge and Ebino Plateau. There's the Shinrin appeal of our UNESCO-registered forests, recognized as Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems. And there is the Shinwa appeal of mystical "power spots": places enriched with deep spiritual energy, that can be accessed by visiting shrines home to ancient myths and legends, including those relating to the origin of Japan itself. With all these appealing elements brought together in one place, we look forward to welcoming you to our prefecture.

We would also like to highlight Miyazaki's stellar sports facilities, as we look towards the 2027 JAPAN GAMES and the National Sports Festival for People with a Disability, which will be held next year in Miyazaki. We provide affordable training camps with our state-of-the-art sports facilities. Whether for top athletes or for school club activities, Miyazaki is the place to go for a training camp.
Clear blue skies, sunlight pouring down, azure ocean waves, a phoenix palm swaying in the breeze: these make up the scenery of Miyazaki. We call it Nangoku Miyazaki, nangoku meaning the tropical south. And in nangoku, as we say in Japanese, nandemo gokujou! Meaning: everything of the finest quality. You can sample some of that quality at the Miyazaki Prefecture booth. We hope you drop by to experience the nangoku delights of Miyazaki for yourself.
