Tourism EXPO Japan 2026
Saga in Kyushu
Located in the northern part of Kyushu, Saga Prefecture has developed under continental influences since ancient times. It borders Fukuoka Prefecture to the east and Nagasaki Prefecture to the west. To the north lies the Genkai Sea, with its scenic coastline designated as Genkai Quasi-National Park. To the south stretches the fertile Saga Plain, adjacent to the Ariake Sea, known for its vast tidal flats with a tidal range of up to six meters. Blessed with rich natural surroundings, Saga is home to high-quality foods nurtured by its environment.
The prefecture also boasts many cultural and historical attractions, including the world-renowned Arita porcelain, relaxing hot springs, and lively events such as the Saga International Balloon Fiesta, which draws over a million visitors.
Ogi City, located along the Nagasaki Kaido (Sugar Road), a designated Japan Heritage route, is known as Japan's top town for yōkan (sweet bean confection). At the Saga Prefecture booth, we are offering a special set featuring Ogi Yōkan paired with a non-alcoholic gin carefully selected to complement its flavor.
We also introduce many of Saga Prefecture's attractions, including recommended local specialties and popular tourist destinations. We hope you'll stop by and discover the charm of Saga.
