In addition to some of Japan's finest natural resources—such as the Shimanto River, Cape Ashizuri, and Kashiwajima Island—it offers a wide range of experiential activities, including canoeing and sightseeing cruises. The region's unique culinary delights—such as Shimizu mackerel and bonito nurtured by the Kuroshio Current, as well as ayu sweetfish and river shrimp from the Shimanto River—are a charm unique to Hata, made possible only by the area's natural environment.
