The Port of Yokohama was opened in 1859 as Japan's first moderninternational trade port and has now become the leading cruiseport in the nation. The port, conveniently located within Tokyo Bayand surrounded by a rich assortment of tourist attractions, plays a vitalrole as the gateway port for metropolitan Tokyo as well as eastern and northern Japan. There are three passenger terminals in Yokohama. The Osanbashi Passenger Terminal and the Shinko Pier Cruise Terminal are located in the town, with shopping, dining and tourist destinations all within walking distance. The Daikoku Pier Cruise Terminal opened in 2019 to accommodate mega cruise ships. The Port of Yokohama provides for all your needs, whether these be short port calls of around 2 hours, longer stays, or accommodation either before or after a cruise.
