Gravity Park Ibaraki
Japan's Premier Activity Park: GRAVITATE OSAKA
The Longest Suspension Bridge in Japan, 420 meters, Unveiled!
Scheduled to open this winter on December 15th, GRAVITATE OSAKA is an upcoming activity facility located within "Dam Park Ibaraki" in Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture. The term "Gravitate" means "to attract" or "to draw towards," and the park aims to captivate a large number of visitors to Osaka.
GRAVITATE OSAKA is set to become Japan's premier activity park, featuring the country's longest suspension bridge as part of the surrounding area development project of the Ai River Dam in Ibaraki City. The bridge, which is expected to be the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Japan (and among the top in the world), will attract significant attention. As its opening coincides closely with the Osaka Expo in 2025, it aims to showcase cutting-edge design and technology from Ibaraki to the world.
Suspension Bridge Overview
The bridge will span 420 meters, making it the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Japan (and among the longest globally). Designed with universal accessibility in mind, it will accommodate wheelchairs and cater to a wide range of ages. From the left bank, visitors will enjoy dynamic views of the bridge's lower structure and the rock-fill dam. The observation area on the bridge's main tower will offer panoramic views of Osaka's cityscape, enhancing the city's tourism appeal. The facility will also feature six restaurants using local ingredients and one souvenir shop, with additional tenant applications planned. These establishments will provide a variety of dining and shopping opportunities for visitors.
Activities
The suspension bridge is designed not just as a crossing but as an unforgettable experience. Boasting the latest construction technologies and spectacular views, it will impress all who visit. The bridge will also include Japan's most advanced gravity-based activities, offering unprecedented thrills and excitement. Attractions will feature bungee jumps from approximately 50 meters above the water (depending on water levels), bungee swings, and the world's first Bridge Climb with a 42-degree angle ascent to the summit. These activities are designed with safety as a top priority and will be accessible to visitors of all ages.
