Okinawa Prefecture announced the "Tourism Barrier-Free Declaration," the first of its kind in Japan, in 2007, and has been implementing various initiatives with the concept of "a tourist destination where everyone can enjoy without barriers."
We are promoting Universal Tourism where everyone can participate without hesitation, and working on improving the reception environment as a "sustainable tourism destination chosen by the world.
