Tourism EXPO JAPAN 2024
Saga in Kyushu
Saga Prefecture, located in northern Kyushu, is bordered by Fukuoka Prefecture to the east and Nagasaki Prefecture to the west. To the north, it faces the scenic Genkai Sea boasting a coastline designated as Genkai Quasi-National Park, while to the south, it stretches across the fertile Saga Plain, adjacent to the expansive Ariake Sea, with its vast tidal flats boasting a maximum tidal range of 6 meters. Known for its tranquil rural landscapes, Saga thrives with agriculture and fisheries. The prefecture offers numerus attractions including world-renowned ceramics, high-quality food nurtured by abundant natural resources, relaxing hot springs, traditional festivals and a rich cultural heritage.
The opening of The Nishi Kyushu Shinkansen in September 2022, made it easier to visit Ureshino city, known for its one of Japan's top three skin-beautifying hot springs," Ureshino Onsen".
We will introduce Saga prefecture's culinary delights such as local gourmet dishes and famous confectionery of "Sugar Road", which has been certified as a Japan heritage.
