Tourism EXPO JAPAN 2024

SHINPI TRAIL

The Shinpi Trail is a walking trail that spans approximately 115 km, connecting Matsumoto (Shinshu) and Takayama (Hida) located in countryside of Central Japan, scheduled to open in the summer of 2025. The trail includes a section within the Chubusangaku National Park, crossing Tokugo Pass, part of the so-called Japanese Alps Classic Trail, leading into Kamikochi. From Kamikochi, the trail continues over the active volcano Mount Yake and onto Nakao Kogen in the Okuhida Onsen Village. Additionally, the trail offers a tour of the Okuhida Onsen Village, which has repeatedly been ranked No. 1 in satisfaction in Japan. The trail connects the castle town of Matsumoto, and Takayama, known for its old streets, both of which are very popular among international tourists.
The Shinpi Trail leverages a network of various local interpreters and guides to offer guided package tours. According to customer needs, the tours can include alternative transportation options beyond walking, and coordinate through-guided tours of the entire Matsumoto-Takayama area, arranging guides as necessary. We offer content that can meet the needs of VIP international tourists and active adventurers seeking adventure tourism, so please feel free to consult with us.
