International Dark sky place in Japan [ Kozu island ]

Kozushima is located approximately 180km south of central Tokyo and is designated as part of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park.
Approximately 22 km in circumference and 18.58 square km in area. It is a remote island in Tokyo that can be visited by flight from Tokyo Takeshiba Pier, Shimoda, Shizuoka Prefecture, and by plane from Chofu Airport.
In the center of the island stands Mount Tenjo, which rises at an altitude of 572 meters, and its beautiful trapezoidal shape attracts many people, from beginners to seasoned mountain hikers. The fishing industry is also thriving, boasting the highest catch in the Izu Islands, so you can enjoy fish such as red sea bream at guesthouses and inns.
