Tourism EXPO JAPAN 2024
KOTO CITY TOURISM ASSOCIATION
The inland area of Koto Ward, Fukagawa and Joto, is an area where culture and traditions that have been passed down since the Edo period are alive and well, and the atmosphere of a downtown area is truly strong. Meanwhile, the bay area in the southern part of Koto Ward is seeing a succession of constructions of high-rise office buildings, tower apartments, amusement facilities, cultural and artistic facilities, large shopping malls, and more, offering a glimpse of the arrival of a new era and the of the city. In particular, Toyosu Market, attracts many visitors from both inside and outside the country, who enjoy the unique food and shopping that can only be found at a market. Furthermore, in February of this year, "Toyosu Senkaku Banrai" opened adjacent to the market. This unparalleled large-scale tourist facility has created new excitement in Koto Ward and is a new tourist attraction. Koto Ward is known as the "Watercolor City" because it is located in the city center but is blessed with abundant waterside and greenery. Tourists who visit can enjoy the healing space that spreads throughout the ward.
The Koto City Tourism Association sells guided tour services to travel agencies using the "Koto City Cultural Tourism Guide" to visit the four areas of Fukagawa, Joto, Wangan, and Toyosu Market as a travel material.
